As I lay in bed contemplating many things such as, "Is it time to turn on the heat in the house?" or "Maybe I should spend the day putting away the summer clothes and getting out the warmer ones," my mind goes to the wild birds that visit my feeders every day.
Yes, it's time to think about paying more attention to feeding the birds, as the coming months will find them search for food to sustain them over the winter months.
So, if you haven't already, it's time to put out a bird feeder or two. You'll be doing the birds a large favor and in addition, you find yourself stopping to watch them often in your daily travels.
